Rapid product development for heat treatment services company

Furmanite is a global provider of on-site heat treatment services including Pre and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT).

To maintain its technological lead, Furmanite embarked on a program of rapid development for its “Next Generation” heat controller. The challenge Furmanite faced was to produce a system which was tailored to meet their exacting requirements, didn’t cost the earth and would be delivered to market on time.

From its offices in Texas USA, Furmanite selected Tascomp to head up the development project in collaboration with Furmanite UK. Key ingredients are a purpose designed heat treatment controller and a tailored installation of Prodigy software.

By basing the Next Generation system on Prodigy, Furmanite have made significant savings in software development whilst the use of Tascomp’s “Fast Track” development program has allowed Furmanite to control the tailoring of the package to meet their exact requirements.
